Lucknow: Of the 150 Sindhis families who came to Pakistan after the country's independence, 36 families will soon get Indian citizenship. According to the district administration, after getting the green signal from the central government, its process has started. If possible, by the end of this year, these people will be granted citizenship of India.

Since Independence, 150 Sindhis have been living in Lucknow since the partition of the country. According to the District Magistrate, the families whose paperwork has been completed have been completed. They will be given the certificate of citizenship of India by the end of December.

District Magistrate Kaushal Ras Sharma had sought the affidavits of the bailants from all these people. According to them, the process of giving citizenship of India is being done faster. On Thursday, he was called the District Collector's office.

Those who have not submitted the entire documents have been asked to provide them soon. According to Sharma, the process of 36 families has been completed so far. They will be given a certificate soon.
