Bill Gates will help UP government in tackling insufflatias
Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and Bill and Milinda Gates Foundation chairman, met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow.
Lucknow: Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and Bill and Milinda Gates Foundation chairman, met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday in Lucknow. This meeting took place in the Chief Minister's office. During this, there was talk of investment in Uttar Pradesh. There was an agreement between the state government and the Milinda and Bill Gates Foundation for cooperation in the year 2012. The period of this agreement is ending this year.
In his meeting with the Yogi about 45 minutes, Gates expressed his desire to invest in the state and also said that he wants to hand over the other works of public interest. Especially he expressed his desire to work in the field of health, education, sanitation, malnutrition and women's empowerment. Chief Secretary Information and Tourism Avinish Awasthi told reporters that the Chief Minister told Bill Gates that this time 92 lakh children have been vaccinated with encephalitis in the province.
Gates assured that he would assist in strengthening the Regional Vector Disease Center located at BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur. It is worth mentioning that Gates's organization Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is already working in Uttar Pradesh. One week before the arrival of Gates, his organization's representative Prashant Shukla met Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar and discussed each point. The Foundation's intent is to provide employment opportunities as well.
